Honoring History: Underground Connections Completes Work at Peninsula War Memorial Stadium

Underground Connections had the incredible honor of working at Peninsula War Memorial Stadium in Hampton, VA—a ballpark with a rich legacy dating back to 1948, originally built as a tribute to the brave individuals who fought in World War II.

Over the years, this historic stadium has hosted legends, including the Newport News Dodgers (1949–1958) before they made their move to Los Angeles. Today, it remains a home for baseball, serving the Peninsula Pilots Summer League and the Apprentice School Builders College baseball team.

This week, the Underground Connections team completed a crucial drilling project beneath the field, running new conduits from the scoreboard to behind home plate. These pathways will serve as essential electrical and communication connections for the new scoreboard—helping modernize the stadium while preserving its legacy.

⚾️ Hard work, precision, and teamwork made this one a true home run! Great job, Team!
